Mind Map - 11x14 Original
Abstracted hand embroidered stumpwork out of satin stitches on top of yarn to represent gyri with backstitches as the sulci. Each hemisphere done in its own colorway and all topped off with a bit of bling in the form of sequins and tiny glass beads sewn in by hand. I imagine the bling are little thought processes. The whole thing when finished looked very topological hence the MindMap title. All of the embroidery is done directly on professional weight portrait linen canvas and there is no paint on this piece.
MindMap measures 11x14 x .5 inches. Wired on the back and ready to hang or you could choose to frame it to really make a statement.
